About this identification
Pale mottled bark on the leaning trunk and a broad canopy of delicate bipinnate leaves match the yellow flames planted along this walk. Flowers would confirm the species.
Identified from photographs of bark, leaves, fallen litter and epiphytes against the Malaysian campus-tree flora. Moderate and tentative records would be settled by a close-up of flowers or fruit.
Species reference: Peltophorum pterocarpum
