About this identification

The multi-stemmed trunks bear once-divided leaves with many pairs of narrow, lance-shaped leaflets, and the ground below is strewn with matching leaflets. This fits the kassod tree, a hardy Malaysian landscape tree that resprouts with several trunks after cutting. Yellow flowers and four-winged pods would confirm.

Identified from photographs of bark, leaves, fallen litter and epiphytes against the Malaysian campus-tree flora. Moderate and tentative records would be settled by a close-up of flowers or fruit.
