Observations

An airy, spreading crown stands between the lake and the path, with the blue-domed building visible across the water.

About this identification

The crown carries the same delicate, twice-divided foliage as the other yellow flames along this shore, with smooth pale-brown limbs and an open, airy crown. A view of its yellow flower clusters would clinch the identification.

Identified from photographs of bark, leaves, fallen litter and epiphytes against the Malaysian campus-tree flora. Moderate and tentative records would be settled by a close-up of flowers or fruit.

Species reference: Peltophorum pterocarpum
