About this identification

The pale, flared trunk and spreading crown carry tight clusters of rounded, faintly notched leaves mixed with yellowing ones, pointing again to Bauhinia. The photographs do not capture a decisive leaf or flower, so this record stays tentative.

Identified from photographs of bark, leaves, fallen litter and epiphytes against the Malaysian campus-tree flora. Moderate and tentative records would be settled by a close-up of flowers or fruit.

Species reference: Bauhinia purpurea
