About this identification

Bright, feathery plumes of bipinnate leaves overhang the leaning trunk, matching the yellow flames of this avenue exactly. Trees 1 to 6 form a planted row of this single species.

Identified from photographs of bark, leaves, fallen litter and epiphytes against the Malaysian campus-tree flora. Moderate and tentative records would be settled by a close-up of flowers or fruit.

Species reference: Peltophorum pterocarpum
